Dr. Roger Barker

Roger Barker spent around 13 years in investment banking in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. He was an equity strategist and research coordinator at UBS, head of European equity strategy at WestLB Panmure, and vice president of investment banking marketing at Bank Vontobel. In 2004, Roger moved to Oxford University, where he undertook research on corporate governance and taught at Merton College. Roger holds an Oxford D.Phil., masters degrees in political economy and economics from the universities of Cambridge and Southampton, and a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from Cardiff University. He joined the IoD in July 2008.
